Yes folks, once again it is time for the annual Midwest Meet and Greet. The Clusterhead invasion of St.Louis, MO, AKA "LouieCon" will take place January 13-16, 2011.

First off....once again I must say that while the crowd last year was slightly better behaved than last year, the City of St. Louis has asked me to pass along a few things to this year's attendees....

Christy, besides everyone who is posting in the meetings board, I do know Jerry will be there and Johnny has promised me he will be there. I cannot wait to meet him, as well as old friends. Jackie has said she and Blake will no doubt be there. Hopefully DJ and Steph will be there.

Folks, if you live anywhere near the St. Louis area and can drive in, and have never met another clusterhead you are in for such a surprise and enlightenment. This is not a convention where we have an agenda and speakers etc. This is nothing but a get together with folks who share a common bond. It is also one of the most fun week-ends you'll ever have in the dead of winter. If we have one other thing in common is a sense of fun and sense of humor. By the time to go home, you'll never want to miss another one. Many a tear has been shed at parting time.

I may not get there until Fri nite late, but barring something catastrophic I'll be there! Meeting up with other clusterheads is life-changing! Knowing you aren't alone because you read about it is NOTHING like knowing it because you are hugged almost to death by another clusterhead. I've told it a bunch of times, but some are new, so I'll say it again. I went to the first DavCon (The predecessor of LouieCon). I had to drive two and a half hours to get there, could only stay about 45 minutes and had to drive back. I'll never forget it! Got hit (lightly) and was just allowed to deal with it without having to feel like I had to hide. People checked to see if I needed Trex, ice, O2, whatever, then left me alone. 20 mins later I was able to participate again and all I got was "Welcome back". It was AWESOME! Some of the people I met that day I've not seen since, but they have a place in my heart that cannot be taken away. I'd better quit before I have to pass the Kleenex, but i promise if you come you will need some when you leave. I always do.

Just as an aside...Because I am in Calif. right now I realized that an old friend on this board lives in Pismo Beach (Shawn Nunley) where I will be tomorrow. I've made plans to meet up with him and his wife for lunch.

I've known Shawn for years now, but we've never met in person. I cannot wait!!!!!!!!! He's told me on the phone tonight that he has had major flood damage to his house but he still wants to take time time out to meet another clusterhead. THAT, has to tell ya something about what it means to connect with another ch-er.

For those who know who I'm talking about...he's the one with those miracle twin boys.

Watching Johnny (with an H) meet his first clusterheads and get the help he needed at DavCon was one of the most gratifying moments of my life. If you haven't ever gone to a meet and greet, or ever met another clusterhead, GO. Your life will be changed.

It changed my life, and I'm not even a sufferer!
