Hi, I have been hesitant to post here because, after 30 + years of this, my active cycles have gradually become short and easier. And I have my ways of dealing with them. I am sure most here have it much worse than I do at this point.

But I have just started an active cycle and I have to say ....

I guess I am saying this here because I know you will understand. I just told my friend I couldn't go out for drinks with her for a while because I am in an active period, and she tried to empathize by talking about her mother's periodic migraines. Nope, not the same.

Hi Diana.  Sorry the Beast has reared his head again; we all know the dread that comes with that. 

Can I ask what ways you have of dealing with it?  Perhaps we can help with new or better ways, or vice versa.
