Today my son Mike's buddy's rackmate, Jacob Romo, lost both legs above the knees to an IED in Afghanistan. His wife is pregnant. Please pray for them.

Our kids over there are doing a great job, and they need our support. They are due to come off the line in March. So close! 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines have taken more casualties than any other outfit since Viet Nam (multiple deployments) Please pray for the outfit as a whole.

That is horrible Jerry. I hope the young man and his wife live in a area where they will be around a good support system when he gets home. Prayers with them.

I just searched for "Jacob Romo" on Google news and it didn't make a single mention as this isn't even classed as newsworthy now.

Thoughts go out to Jacob, his family and fellow marines.

This is heartbreaking. My prayers are out and on the way to this valiant soldier,his family. and to all our soldiers everywhere.

Thanks all. The Marine Corps family is very close, almost like this one. When one hurts all hurt. I'm glad I can ask for your support for them.

These are kids to me. We lost a local 21 year old Lance Cpl. last week. So so young.
