Well I was driving down the road two weeks ago and there was an ad for a pain study in a local town and they gave a web address for anyone who was interested in participating in the study. I went to the site and filled out an application and guess what, they contacted me and said I could participate in the study, now they are trying to use MRI’s to map the brain during pain and to try and use the MRI like this to diagnose and help treat pain. They said they will not only do it when I am in my normal level of pain witch is all the friggen time but also will dip my arm n an ice bath and do pressure on the finger nail to inflict pain while they are doing the MRI. I am hoping that maybe they will find something in my brain that is abnormal and can be corrected or at least they can teach me ways to deal with the pain so I do not have to take any more pills, that is also part of the study. Tonight is my first appointment and I hope during this they do not change their mind about having me in the study, having SUNCT may change things not sure so we will see tonight.

While I realize you don't have CH, trials like this could very well help all of us as well.

Well the first appointment was just a ton of questions and a pain threshold test, my first MRI will be in like two months so not a fast study but once it really starts I will update everyone.
