I just learned yesterday that my daughter, Amanda is pregnant, so this will be number three grandchild. This will be Amanda's second child.

Amanda has had difficulty in conceiving- one lost pregnancy due to ectopic with emergency surgery, then three years of in-vitro in order to conceive our precious Delia. This pregnancy came as a total surprise because they thought it would be another round of several in-vitros in order to conceive again.

Her bloodwork shows no ectopic this time and looks good. She has her first ultrasound tomorrow.

Please send prayers and cross anything that can be crossed that this pregnancy will be perfect.

Needless to say, Grandma is ecstatic as are mom and dad!!!!!,

Ultrasound this morning - we really do have a baby on the way and everything looks perfectly normal. - I even have the picture of my future him or her - looks just like his/her mommy and daddy - LOL,

Now I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Thanks so much for the prayers and support. We were all frightened that this pregnancy could go south, but, so far, we're looking good.

IT'S A BOY!

Amanda, Jason and 3 year old Delia went for ultrasound this morning and we have a healthy, active grandson on the way, due around October 24th!

Having had two daughters of my own, and then two granddaughters - I have no idea of how to take care of baby boys. I know there is an extra "appendage" that must be carefully cleaned with each diaper change. I'm a quick learner!

Tarey and I are so excited!

Oh and one more thing...Don't worry about the appendages...they don't cause problems until they become teenagers. ::)

Not entirely true as the flash of cold from a diaper change will often times cause an immediate outpouring of....well.......I would suggest you ALWAYS treat that thing as if it's loaded and avoid any unexpected showers! ;D

As long as you keep a cloth over the appendage while changing said diaper, you'll do fine. ;)

Congrats Sandy... and boys are "fun" to say the least. And the 'appendage" does tend to "leak" from time to time, but is NOT all that much trouble - ya get used to it (this spoken from experience).

But after the "second" one, I think I have it figurered out -- If you put something in the top end - keep the bottom end covered cause whatever you put in is going to COME OUT the bottome end! ;)
