This is round two for me... every single night, no relief, nothing is helping and I feel as I have tried nearly everything. At this very moment, I was woken by the devil itself. The pain so intense, all I can do is rock back and forth and wait it out. I feel as if I am a helpless infant waiting for a hand to come forth with something, anything that will offer relief from this pain. My head would feel better if it were to explode... I am going to my doctor tomorrow and I will start a steriod regimen along with topamax which, after a couple of days, will offer some relief I'm hoping. The devil stole my thanksgivng, my Christmas and is hindering my work, its time to STOP!! I want my life back, I want to be normal again, I want to sleep without being scared and knowing that it is coming. I want to go to work and play with my kids. I want to go to movies... I'm exahsudted and tired every single day and yet so afraid to lay my head down. I don't want to contemplate what it would be like to NOT have a head or to take my own head off. I'm sorry, this is probably the same thing over and over but I have to get it out. I'm done, now it is back to rocking and waiting for the pain to subside...

Shane, I'm praying the topomax does the trick for you. You don't mention O2, melatonin, energy drinks, prednisone tapers, imitrex, migranal, or any of a dozen other treatments we have found works for some, including busting. Care to tell us what your experience with these and other abortives/preventatives has been? lance

I hope the steroid helps.  When I was on Prednisone it was like a vacation in Hawaii!  Not a single hit in five days.  At the end of that they started to come back so I got my Doc to give me a script for Verapamil which got me thru to the end of my cycle.
