Quote:
31 January 2011, Munich, Germany – Ascenion GmbH, the technology transfer partner of the Hannover Medical School (MHH), announces today that it has acquired an equity stake in Entheogen Corporation.

The US-based start-up was jointly established by former MHH researcher Torsten Passie, together with a Harvard colleague and a former financier in order to develop a non-hallucinogenic LSD derivative for the treatment of cluster headache. The neurological disease is an extremely painful condition, which affects about 1 in 1.000 people. It is characterized by either chronic or periodic attacks of intense head pain that is markedly greater than in any other form of headache, including severe migraine.

As long as the main focus of Entheogen's research remains a priority, it sounds like a very encouraging development.

Fingers crossed that a powerful new treatment emerges from this.

Best wishes,

George

How amazing! To think that an LSD derived drug would be taken seriously is wildly hopeful.

For sure, I'll be first in line to sign up when it becomes available!

On the downside, I can't wait to hear the protests and negative spin by insurance companies who, to begin with, have no intelligence even for simple and safe Oxygen.
