Title: strange flashes Post by Glassman on Mar 6th, 2011 at 9:33am
OK, I need some help.
I've been good now for three weeks without a hit. Four times now since my last hit I've had what I could only describe as flashes where I feel one come on and then almost immediately self abort - no pain is involved just this sudden "whoosh" then it's gone. I've been taking Batch's anti-inflammatory regimen . (10,000 IU D3, 2,000 IU fish oil, Calcium citrate, 500mg magnesium- oh and zinc too 50mg) plus Kudzu and Taurine (1,000 mg). Can anyone tell me what might be going on? Could it be that my cycle isn't over or I'm going into a new one? My cycle in the past would last for four to six weeks (this current one was four). I was hoping for at least a four year remission like I'm used to with these but I'm scared from reading how many people go chronic. :-? |

It's called the painless hit.
Be thankful. |

Glassman/Gary,
I've experienced similar sensations when I skipped taking this regimen for a day. I attributed them to missing my daily dose, but after reviewing available literature on the half life of the vitamin D3 metabolites in the blood serum and finding it is roughly 27 days, I'm more inclined to think this is just a CH trigger that failed to result in a full blown attack. The regimen is either working or your cycle has ended. Three weeks without a hit is fantastic. My only thought now with respect to your present situation is to enjoy the time PF and get on with the rest of your life. No sense arguing with success no matter how it came to be or worrying about something that hasn't actually happened. Take care, V/R, Batch |

Thanks Batch,
That's very comforting. Yesterday I added DHEA to the supplements. The last time I had my blood levels checked I was low on testosterone. It's too early for me to know for sure if that helped but last night I had no "flashes" and will see how the days progress. I also stretched my hamstrings (something I used to do regularly and which I had neglected since before the cycle began) and, as usual, that relieved a constant nagging pain and tightness in my left mid-back and upper neck. So, I'm back on with that in my daily routine. You're right, time to enjoy the pain free days! -Gary |
