Kakapo's are fascinating birds--what little I know of them. Flightless parrots, and critically endangered. I'm very partial to hummingbirds, so seeing the photos of hummers I've never seen was a real pleasure. All the best, George |

The Kakapo is quite a fascinating bird and in real danger of becoming extinct here in New Zealand, however the Department of Conservation, with a lot of help from volunteers, is doing some pretty good work to help the population recover. |
