This is part of a new series of ink drawings that Ellen is doing called "Suits".

She says:  "This fine Victorian gentleman is just looking for a good time. He's an easy keeper and a good listener and you can put him away when company comes over. He won't mind.

---
Cat skull and Victorian inspired evening wear. Catsuit is drawn ink on bristol board."

She says:  "Suits series #003- Mr. Reynard

This dapper gentleman is taking a long country holiday. Alone.

---
Fox skull and 18th century inspired clothing.

Ink and bristol board. "

I should have a couple more to show you this weekend.

Thanks for looking.   :)

Best wishes,

George

Here's another:

"Suits series #002- Lady Scratch

This lady may be down on her luck, but she's the perfect match for Catsuit. Even if she isn't doing so well right now she won't hesitate to claw her way right back to the top!

----
Cat skull, Victorian inspired clothing and patterns.

Ink and colored pencil on bristol board. Colors blended with cream, white and powder blue."

Best,

George

Ellen sure has talent!

I wish I had 1% of her skills.

Ellen's talent is absolutely mind blowing.  It makes me wonder exactly what she will be doing with this exceptional ability 10 years from now.  Thanks so much for sharing.

Her new-found college interests have become a new dig for her artwork.  She'll be very popular, and that kind of talent will be very handy in that field.

There were never cool girls in any of my geology classes (long time ago).  When your eyes strayed off the book and around the room, they'd stray right back on page again.  Otherwise I'd be writing from one of the dark corners of the world now.

Great stuff.  Yes, more.

Eye Experiment 3:

Ellen says:

"Experimental eye number 3. I was trying to create an eye with only my charcoals on hand because I hadn't tried that yet.

Black and white charcoal on chipboard."

Unrelated to the "Suits" series, but I liked it anyway.  ;)

Best wishes,

George

I will repeat what I have already told George (and therefore I'm sure El)...it is a truly an "evil bad" that doesn't offer at least some good (talking ch).

Without going into all the details I so often belabour...I would never have seen this REMARKABLE art without being a member of this family...I am a lucky man in so many ways....and CERTAINLY, being privvy to THIS engenders a joy so hard to find....

THANK YOU for sharing George...and El...just WOW!

Best,

Jon

Holy smokes that eye is great!  I displayed it full screen and it's beautiful, so female.

That is some good work.

It's her own left eye, with the gray iris and long lashes.  I think she looked in a mirror or something.  ;-)

Best,

Oh, uh... beautiful in a... art sense, Dad.  You know, like when I saw the new blue M&M's, suddenly they're a more colorfully attractive bunch!

This isn't working.

It's nice to see close up the patience of a comprehending eye consentrating as it absorbs a sensitive detailed memory to recreate so precisely with her confident ability.

Art can be very pretty, too.  Uh, yes, her art, but I don't think I've ever said that before.    :)

It's heartening to see she also has an eye for literary history, casting the fox as Mr Reynard.
