The Beast actually is a really, truly real living thing, isn’t it?

As in, it has a personality, it lives, it breathes… it looks into your mind, and reads your thoughts, it plots against you and torments you… it has an evil laugh, and scary eyes…… like Thriller…..

Here I am thinking I’m out of my cycle, feeling all free and wonderful, but now not so free and not so wonderful because now I think I’m getting shadows.

Today I have had 3 short headaches – nothing around my eye, but just like the pains that I typically get at the back of my head. Between 10 and 25 min.

Please not again…………………………………………

I don't have any experience with CH, but I know that many here are trying a high dose Vitamin D3 regimen and it's showing some encouraging results. It can't hurt to give it a try. Might be able to nip this one in the bud.

Melby, I've had the same thoughts as you, and back in 2001, I thought I saw the face of the beast, and it was ugly. It took many things from me, maybe I let it.

From the good people on this site I learned to be an expert in this condition and short of getting my Flying future back, I've learned to fight this ugly faced monster, and live the best I can.

Becoming a self educated "expert" about CH is the best defense and Doctor educating approach we can have. If you want your life back, at least take back what you can...

Hey Melby,
Do try the D3/fish oil, it may help and if it does please let us know the results. We're all very interested in knowing more about that regimen.
Keep the board close to you at this time, I got so much encouragement and help and felt connected to good people who care.
That alone made such a hugh difference!

Around this time last year I had finished an episode and was looking forward to a nice long remission when I started getting shadows coming on strong enough that an energy drink wouldn't touch them.

Like you Melby I was very concerned that it was "here we go again" time, and I was beyond fed up of course (who isn't!), so I got serious about busting and that sent mister McBeastabilly packin'.

He tried to pop in again every few months. Bust. Gone. Now I'm going on 5 beastless months and feeling very lucky and grateful.

The vitamin D3 megadose thing is getting my attention too - and I'm getting the impression from some of the latest posts to that topic with people reporting their successes, that the fish oil may not be such a vital component. If I were you I'd at least check out the vitamin D3 thing pronto.
