My facebook is almost impossible to use so I guess I'll keep in touch here. It takes forever to scan, "stutters" its way along, won't let me change direction without a long "stuttering" wait and the only practical way for me to post is to drop it in from elsewhere....and that takes forever. I have no idea what's going on.

Damn. I like the place! Any ideas?

Hey Charlie - you had some responses on your facebook page but you may not have seen them. One of the suggestions was to de-frag your computer.

wish I knew something else that might help.

Darn...I can't help you either but I sure do like all your Jamestown pics.

Do you not have a good (computer geek) friend near you, who can come over and take a look at what the problem seems to be? Maybe you can re-pay him/her with one of your fine home-cooked meals. ;)

Remember Linda, the old meatloaf recipe I used to post? I haven't been able to find it lately.

Anyway......It seems that I can reply to a "status" thing but going to the site to look at stuff or reply to the general page, would take hours and about as much fun as a root canal. :-

Try emptying your cache. That may help, or it may not. I've been having other troubles with Facebook lately.

Thanks kids but I've done all the right stuff and tried a lot of tricks but it's still nearly impossbile to use facebook. It takes hours to go anywhere or do anything. Another thing is that if I try a reply, what I'm typing doesn't appear soon enough so I can work on it not to mention that it would take all day to read a lot of posts. I get "stuck" all the time no matter where I go.

Does anyone know how to bitsch about this? All that happens when I try is to get bounced around useless faqs. It's a dead end and of course I realize that it's designed that way....

Still, I'd like to come back :(

I believe it had something to do with a crowbar or an ice pick to pry some unidentifiable meat from the back of the freezer that's been there since Truman was in office... to nuke. lol
