The Holiday Inn OpryLand Hotel doesn't like people who rent rooms with cars to use the parking lot.

I watched 4 cars being towed in 15 mins. at 8 am. this morning. One persons car's tire was ruined by the tow truck as it was being towed and scraped along the pavement in a locked position.. Another's car alarm went off when they tried to do something to it and this guy started shoving a slim Jim into the window to break into it. Yeah...I think it offical. We were all appalled. Ruthie Harper has more to say on this subject. lol

I suppose a business has to work around maintenance schedules, it was just they didn't leave enough parking for the guests. Of course they hadn't anticipated the obnoxious street racers that checked in. Sounded like a swarm of bees all night.

Perhaps they are doing some maint on that lot this AM... sealing or repainting lines or such. Probably doubling up on the number of 'intoxicated / handicapped' spots after seeing your crew drain liquor bottles.

The hotel was re-tarring and painting the stripes section by section, but had just about every section blocked off with the "we will tow you" barricades. One guy, not one of us clusterheads, got so pi$$ed off, he moved the barricades, tore down the tow you sign and threw it in the trash - hence, a brand newly tarred parking area was now open. All the street racers, with their modified cars (street illegal I understand) parked there, removed their racing tires, rolling them into the hotel, and taking off their steering wheels also taking them into the hotel. Where was the tow truck when we really wanted one???????

It was busy towing Racers truck on the Monday. He had parked in the only section not redone. It was also not marked when we all returned to the hotel Sunday night from the movies. Not only did they tow his truck up to the row alongside Elm Hill Parkway, they left his truck, full of regulators and demand valve unlocked.

Needless to say, they got another earful!
