Title: Call it a Setback!!!
Post by Pfunk on Aug 7th, 2011 at 12:28am
So for the last few weeks, I had been moving along virtually PF, just a random hit here or there. And earlier this week I began experiencing a huge amount of pain around the area of my tailbone. Turns out it is a piloidal cyst, excuse the spelling please. On Thurs I had a procedure to have it cut and etc(sparing the grotesque details). While there, they shot me up with morphine and adivan and sent me home with some more pain meds(lortab I think). On the way home I got a wallbanging HA. Once home I decided to pop some meds because I am to uncomfortable and in pain to sit down. Bad idea. I've been experiencing back to back to back hits for a day and a half. So now I sit/lay here in pain(yet plenty of pain meds) wondering if I have re-triggerred a cycle that I previously thought was about to close. Thanks for listening and allowing me to vent/rant. PF wishes to all!

Much Luv

A question like this will elicit guesses and personal experience but no real knowledge. The knowledge of how Clusters operate, start, transform, etc. is very limited.

This is why we are so often left with running trials (experiments) with the various meds we use in hopes that something will hit.

You didn't mention what you normally use as an abortive.

Personal experience after major surgery is that the pain meds did not trigger a cycle or a single attack. (My contribution to the lack of helpful information <bg>.)

Sorry I haven't been back in a few days here. Went out of town trying to enjoy my what was supposed to be a family vacation. Ended up fighting the beast the whole time. However, my son thoroughly enjoyed himself, so it was all good.
As far as abortives go, I take imitrex(pills if caught early enough and injection if not) but have O2 which I prefer but it's at home and the worst was on the way home from the hospital.
