Title: Do any of you use electronic cigarettes? Post by slacker032 on Sep 11th, 2011 at 2:51am
I quit smoking over a month ago and started using an e-cigarette at the same time. Right now I'm in the midst of one of the worst cycles I've had in years.
Hoping it's just a coincidence but I'm wondering if there are ingredients in the nicotine vapor juices that that might adversely affect our condition. The main ingredient in them is vegetable gylcerin along with nicotine. |

Solvents can be a problem for some people as a CH trigger, so possibly there may be an issue with one of the ingredients?

I guess vegetable glycerin would be considered a solvent. I wonder if it's a trigger.

Slacker,
I've tried the green smoke products, and I did not experience it as a trigger. I have since stopped smoking completely and now am using a Swedish Snus product. (Spitless tobacco- pouch) Very sucessful in Sweden to reduce smoking, and with far less adverse effects . FYI.. FWIW.... I don't recommend any tobacco use, as we all can agree, but I've found it to be a very successful method of my being able to quit. My cardio specialist, prefers this to my smoking but again would suggest I stop all tobacco products. My ultimate goal is reach Zero nicotine use. Best of luck, it's a damn hard habit to kick..... I should know..... ;D |

Yea, quitting all nicotine products would be ideal but this is doing the job for now.
