If you've been keeping a headache diary, bring that. If you have not taken the CH quiz at left, take it and bring the results. Print out the link on O2 and bring with you a resolute determination to come back with a Rx for high flow O2. Most of all, bring knowledge with you, of your own patterns and of CHs in general. If your neuro is up on the latest info concerning CHs then you will know by checking against what you have brought. If your neuro is dismissive, you will know that too and perhaps have a chance to create a working relationship based on mutual desires to conquer this thing. Best of luck, and God bless. lance

What Lance said! A Neurologist with a good education on CH treatments is your highest hope. The next best thing is a neuro who is open minded, willing to listen to what you bring them, and willing to work with you. Either way, educating yourself first is your best bet. Wishing you luck with this neuro.

The most important information to get is some sense of his knowledge/skill treating headache. I'd ask--directly--about his experience/training in/with headache disorders. Any evasion is an important sign to get out.

Print out the PDF file below. It's the latest evaluation of commonly used meds for Cluster. If he isn't Rx some combination of these items I would reagard it as a sign that he isn't up to date.
