Woke up at 2:30 getting hit. First time in a year and a half. And the day before we head out to the CB conference.

Never got above a K4, and aborted with an energy drink and O2 within 5 minutes. Couldn't get back to sleep, though. Got a lot of work done so I can most likely leave the office early.

But DANG! I had almost forgotten how much this can suck.

Yeah, I know what to do. I'm just not sure I'm going to have the time before we leave for the Windy City.

Maybe after I get there....

I think I know what may have triggered this, too. I auditioned for two bands about 3-4 weeks ago. One of them called me back right away to tell me I got the job. The other one - the one I was really looking forward to - called me back this past Sunday to tell me that I was one of two finalists out of 24 who applied. Went for a 2nd audition Tuesday night and got the gig. Now I have two gigs. Three weeks ago I had none.

I may well be able to pull off playing in both outfits because the first one has been billed as a side project, meaning the others in the band don't have a lot of time for it either.

But I've been looking at how these situations have been affecting me, and it's pretty clear: the stress level just dropped significantly over the past 48 hours.

I have a boatload of new material to learn by Oct. 8. Time to up the self-imposed stress level a notch or two, I guess.

Let us hope it was just a rogue hit, but if it were me, (and it has been many times) I'd be doing a booster dose to recage the bastage ASAP.

Exactly.  Blake got a 1.5 years after his first 'treatment'.....2nd treatment and he's a little over 2 years.  Kick the SoB to the curb and have a great weekend!

Little update:

Just returned home from the 2011 Clusterbuster conference in Chicago. Shadowed more heavily than usual, but did not get hit. Used the free O₂ (thank you, LifeGas) to chase away the shadows for about 5 min. last night, but energy drinks worked pretty well the rest of the time.

So, I haven't been hit since the Brewers swept the Reds this weekend.

Potter is a fookin' genius.

My thoughts are with you Brew, as much as I can think in this peak of mine. Pretty well controlled but a battle. On the big "Dopeymax".
