Hey Mike. For the longest time I experienced CHs as an incredible pressure behind my right eye. Then it morphed so I felt the pressure, plus stabbing and then piercing pain through my temple. Now I'm back to the first experience primarily. I think it all has to do with how the trigeminal nerve reacts or is affected during the hit. Sorry it's time to hit the tanks. Use everything you've learned to battle the beast. Prayers your way. lance

Yes a fickle beast... eye is the norm, temple yes, I have even had it switch sides. But whatever the beast decides... it is usually consistent for the whole cycle.

I too have had the beast morph on me on two different occasions. Typically mine are normally localised behind my left and both times Beasty just decided he was going to work on the right for a while. The scariest part last year was that I actually had it happen right in the middle of a hit, which made it feel as if the pain and intensity were worse as that side is not prepared or accustomed to the battles. Just my experience. PF wishes, my friend.

Mike,
Yes, last cycle, it tried to jump from the left , I'd been left sided cyclic for over 15 years. Then it started mid cycle to migrate to the right.... never really got a hold on the right but kept on trying for the worst part of a year.... Then as if it never happened, stopped altogether. Fickle Beast indeed... Here's to a short stay by the Beast this go round and glad you have the Oxygen at the ready. I too have a tank always near at hand. All the best, Baer |

im normally left sided chronic, but i do get some periods of pain free time. a couple years ago, after a few weeks with no CH, i had one knock the crap out of my right eye. like Pfunk said, it seemed worse being on the side that isn't used to it. it lasted an unusually long time too. the next few days it was a shadow that hung around and finally vanished. a week later things picked up on my left side as normal.

Mike,
My CHs are a freak of nature, seriously. From the first time I had a CH, they frequently switch from the left to right eye. Historically the left eye CHs are at the beginning of the cycle and are usually anywhere from a Kip 1-6. When I near the end of my cycle or high point, they switch to the right eye which is the Kip 6-10 side. During this transition and when my cycle is ending, I regularly have CHs that start on the right and end on the left and vise versa. I know that when I get one on the right side, I need to get to an abortive fast! On a few occasions I've aborted a right eye CH that came back as a left eye CH only minutes later, even after breathing oxygen at the proper rate and time. Go figure! |

Will still give the tatoo a miss, but seeing it now invokes a totally different reaction to when I first saw it.
Currently the beast isn't sure if he should have fun with my right eye or temple, but being prepared rocks. |
