Title: Deep freeze Post by Big J on Sep 24th, 2011 at 7:52pm
Went to sleep at 9.30. woke up wid the beast at 12.30.
I headed straight for the cheast freezer, as this has worked the past 2 nights. (placed my head in bottem and breathed like hell in through my nose 4 as long as u cn then in through your mouth repeating as lng as u need,i cn feel the pain numbing/freezing when it's starting to ease). And for the third time this has been a success in a rapid time. I really sugest trying this |

Whatever works. Glad you're getting some relief.

Ice cold air works for me too, in an emergency I'll either put my nose against the ac vents in my car, or in a freezer.
That being said, at it's BEST, cold air doesn't hold a candle to the speed, and COMPLETE pain relief oxygen provides me. 6-8 minutes and the beast is gone. Joe |

What Potter said.
I liked cold air though. Some of that was because standing in the garage or on the patio below freezing got me away from people too. Charlie |

Agreed.. cold = good when getting hit.
Hmmm... tonight I will add ice cubes to the humidifier bottle on my o2 concentrator. I am currently experimenting with sleeping all-night on an o2 feed during this cycle. |

Kip used to run his O2 hose thru ice and said that helped him a lot more than just using it without the ice. Said it looked a little silly, but it worked.
And sitting out on the porch in my nightgown in 17 degree weather has been known to "help" when getting hit with me... Neighbors mostly were asleep.. but at the time I really didn't care much.. But O2 is still the best "help" I get hands down... If you haven't tried it - go to the left and read up on it... It's helped about 70% of us (maybe more). :)And the punching bag DOES give you something to do doesn't it (yep, been there done that too... easier on the old hands than hitting the wall ;)) :-* |
