I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on the Amazon Kindle Fire??? I know it's not out yet but am curious..... :P

It looks pretty awesome. I really like that it has a color screen and you can surf the web on it and watch TV or movies or play games. It can hold 6000 books vs. 3500 and the screen is also a little bigger. It's also a little heavier than the Kindle I have now.

I can surf the web on the Kindle I have now, but the quality of surfing is terrible. If I'm away from the computer I use my phone to surf vs. the Kindle I have now.

One of the most favorite things about my Kindle is the no-glare screen and I don't think that will be an option with the Fire, but that's not the end of the world.

I want one, I want one bad!!!

I don't know Jackie. I have two Kindles and love them both (gave the first one to Caleb). It goes everywhere with me, but I use it to read only.

I'm really not into all this surfing stuff, so I'm content just to buy books and read. Sorry.... guess I'm just gettin' old. :-*

wow, i also thought there was a fire raging in the amazon... funny, i can turn an old cell phone into a 56k modem and get internet almost anywhere in the world, but had to google a kindle...

Kindle looks good but I wouldn't trade my ipad for it.

ipad2 fan here... wouldn't trade it for anything... an amazing little piece of technology...

I am not familiar with the Kindles, I can get books from kindle and ibook on the ipad2.

Listen to me... I sound like I know what I'm talkin' about... ;)... My names Baer, and I am technologically challenged... I do however like the ipad2 immensely.

I'm seriously think about getting one Jackie. Plus I use Amazon all the time and have Amazon Prime.
