Hi Guys!
I used to be on this Great site, quite a while ago.   It helped me so much.  It taught me to educate my uninformed doctors about my condition.

After having my first round with the devil,  over a 4 year period ....  Miraculously He stepped out of my life, and I went into remission for almost 8 years.

Well, ladies and Gentleman ---  My demon has returned (with a vengeance) -  Got my first attack about a year ago,   and I knew Exactly what was happening to me,   but I think, I was in denial.   3 days later attack number 2,  2 days after that attack number 3 (this one sent me to the ER @ 3am) - That certainly ended my denial -  made my appointment with a Dr. , to get on my old friends, O2 and Imitrex.  Last night the devil hit me for the 4th time .....   now,  I am in that fear-mode again.    I HATE THIS DEVIL!!!!

I took the those pain-free years for granted.

Just wanted to introduce myself,  and hopefully learn about any new remedies, meds, advice ....   I pray for all of you CH'ers.  This devil we deal with,  needs to be destroyed!

Im so happy this support group is still so alive and well.

All I can say is stay up to date and ready! I thought I had my treatment all worked out... by the time I realized the game had changed, I had missed out on a lot of stuff here that could have helped.

As far as new stuff:

Sorry to read after 7 yrs remission you are attacked again. 

I am on the same drowning battleship as you, trying to stay afloat as I had a 6 yr remission and then got hit out of nowhere 11 weeks ago and enduring a very torturous cycle. 

Like mentioned above, the anti-inflammatory regimen and the higher flow (40LPM--60LPM) 02 recommendations are new treatments proven beneficial to many of us.

Hang in there, read and learn, post often, we are all here in this together, you are not alone! ;)

Like the others, we are glad to have you back and sorry you had to come back. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned yet (or I missed it) but many of us have found coupling a taurine/caffeine energy drink with high flow O2 makes the O2 more effective in bringing about an abort. It seems the brand is personal preferenfce so long as there is 1000mg taurine present. I prefer Monster 16oz drinks myself. I slam one as cold and as quickly as I can and then hit the O2 tank.
