Title: Thank You clusterheadaches.com Post by DarkKnight on Nov 5th, 2011 at 11:09am
After a fantastically painful and awesomely excruciating bout of headache and eye pain again - for years my GP said I was suffering from ocular migraines, which he either dismissed the level of pain I described or said I was merely exaggerating - I feel a little vindicated that I've finally, almost tearfully, found that others do and have experienced the exact and precise symptoms I experience and have experienced for many years.
I thought I was alone, almost insane with pain, my relief and sanity today are unmatched in discovering what I believed were migraines, when talking to other migraine sufferers and having them bemused and at times with a disbelieving expression that they themselves did not experience what I feel and endure. Knowing that what I go through, and that there are explanations for the symptoms, reasons for it being so bad, and that I am not alone by finding this website has astonished me. Anyway - I just wanted to say hi, hopefully I can contribute on the forum, but most of all thank you for existing! |

Ocular migraines are painless, temporary visual disturbances that can affect one or both eyes. Though they can be frightening, ocular migraines typically are harmless and self-resolve without medication within 20 to 30 minutes.
Sounds like your GP is an idiot. |

Check your original post, Bob Johnson has given you some great advice on accessing a specialist in your health care system.
Your current GP is an idiot. (With all due respect to functioning idiots everywhere! ;D) Joe |
