Title: Left/Right Correlation?
Post by LasVegas on Nov 15th, 2011 at 10:00pm
Searched archives for over an hour and found nothing, but am sure it probably has been discussed before.

I'm left handed and my ECH's are always left sided.  Thought maybe there is a possible correlation!?

Are you a left or right sided CH sufferer?
Are you left or right handed?

Participation encouraged ;)

I'm right handed with 99% of the hits on the right side.  However, every once in a while just for kicks I decide to have one on the left, just because my defense mechanisms don't work on that side.  Makes me appreciate the other ones more.  Also, every once in a while I'll start the attack in the left eye and have it move across to the right about the time it hits a K5.  I always know I'm in for a particularly bad one any time it starts out on the left.

Right handed (mostly) and right sided hits. Luckily, I've never changed sides...though, in some ways, maybe it would help even out what must be a slightly offset noggin from all the banging, icepacks and whatever else I've subjected the right side to.

There's been several polls done on this, never established anything that appeared useful. Keep poking though! ;)

I'm right handed. Hits on left side. Always.

Right side hits and right handed, although I suspect that I should be left handed but at primary school we were made to write with our right hands and it stuck.

Yup, as I mentioned right handed and left-sided CHs. It seems like there are a lot of people whose handedness matches their pain side, though. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a high correlation without any real reason behind it... not that I don't think there COULD be a real reason, but it's interesting to think about either way.

Here's a twist.

Ch are always on the left side.

I was turned every way but loose until I was 6 and figured out the way to save a vocal or physical correction was to use my RIGHT hand for eating, writing, etc. So, I am right handed, sort of.

Father was raised by a left handed maiden Aunt in the depression.

He stuttered horribly his whole life because he got the same treatment (rougher actually) that I did to force him into 'right' handedness.  >:(

Back then, being a 'lefty' was a big social dis-advantage. :-[

So, had I been left alone, I would be left/left.

But, on the other hand, when my right hand was in a cast up to my shoulder for 7 months in high school, I could still eat, write, and drive.  8-)

I'm naturally right handed and get hits on both sides, although probably 60%-70% on the right side.

What I find more interesting is that one side of a person's body, regardless of which side is dominate, will be slightly larger and grow hair faster than the other side. The hand and foot on one side is typically, just ever so slightly larger, and the hair on the head and face on that side is slightly more fuller (ask any hair dresser/barber), and often, skin is more sensitive on that side of the body.

For me, this is my left side. And whenever I have a cluster on my left, they are always 2-3 times more painful than on my right.
