Title: Verapamil and rash Post by lennycohen on Feb 7th, 2012 at 11:12am
started verap 80 3x daily, after 2 weeks, major rash all over upper body, spots down arms, etc.
GP says quit the verap, find something else --- as we all know, there may well be nothing else that works anybody had a verapamil rash, and worked thru it? does it persist, or maybe fade after being on for a while? |

Lithium has been my prevent of choice forever. I currently use 1200 mg a day while on cycle, it blocks 60-70% of my hits. Hope it works as well for you. Pay attention to the warning about increasing your fluid intake, especially the first few weeks you'll find you visit the head a LOT! ;)

So a week after stopping the steroids, headaches back - not too bad yet, persisten kip 3 shadow, occaisional foray past - only one hit of Imi so far, O2 not bad, but rarely a complete abort.
So does anybody have experience with a calcium channel blocker other than Verapapmil? I had taken Norvasc for a few years, and then my cycle starte in spite of 10 mgs Norvasc and 600 mgs Lithium - so now I'm on 900 mgs lithium, and am searching for a CCB that won't give me a drug reaction. Any suggestions are welcome. I'm going to suggest Cardizem or Procardia to the neuro -- Thx Lenny |
