Title: thought's please Post by Joshl924 on Feb 16th, 2012 at 2:19pm
So after my cycle ended about 70 days give or take although I had shadows for a while but for all intents and purposes 70 days after it started which was about feb 28th last year. Ive been getting super nervous, I got woken up in the middle of the night last night by my dishwasher and I freaked out and had to calm myself down and remember "it would have been about an hr after I woke up"
so aside from being super nervous, has anyone ever heard of a one cycle sufferer? I feel as though its possible becuase some of those people wouldnt ever go to the doctor but I wanted to get your thoughts. Lastly, I am sorry for being gone for so long but once my (first) cycle was over I just couldnt think about this Im sorry but you all understand... even writing this right now gives me a little twinge in the ole noggin... I can only conclude that running the dishwasher in the middle of the night causes panic attacks.
Run your dishwasher during the day. |

Hi Joshl924,
I've never heard of a one cycle sufferer, only one who has experienced a cycle and are in remission. Although nothing surprises me about CH's, so I suppose one cycle sufferers may be out there. As for you being away, the only harm is you may have some catching up to do on new treatments. Studying this website after being away for awhile can be time consuming and definitely a burden if challenged with a new cycle. My advice is to enjoy your pain free life while not in cycle, but pop in every now and then to study and educate yourself. Hope you are well ;) -Gregg in Las Vegas |

What Greg said. There seems to be far more we DON'T know about this condition then we do know. Enjoy the pain free time, but keep popping in so on the off chance beasty does come back, you'll be up to date on the newest and greatest.

Thank you that link was very helpful actually. I also think some of the shadows are mental as I approach the same time they began the last time... I suppose all I can do is hope for a long long remission. One of my doctors said that he had one clusterhead whose two cycles came 25 years apart.
Still I think that one cycle might happen more than we think there is just no way to know... |

I agree with what they all said, but if you're taking a prophylactic medication to keep them away, it could possibly be a breakthrough. I am currently going through a cycle but only being hit 3 times a week compared to at least once, a lot of times twice, a day, and this is on verapamil... Just a thought. I understand your nervousness. I freak out when I think a cluster is coming on. Sometimes I think these things know what they are doing (lol) and like to torture us.

yes...
And sometimes I get regular headaches from not eating or drinking enough water and I really freak out... I will say that I would have to assume the first cycle is over all the worst because I had no idea what was happening to me what to expect or if it would ever go away. that being said the reality of the situation is that if and when they ever do arrive again I am fairly immobilized for 60-70 days which I was able to get away with last time because I was in school but certainly wont be again. |
