Idiot Son just called from work and told me our backyard (about a mile backyard) neighbor just got killed by a logging truck. He was a really sweet man and I'm in total shock...

those damn logging trucks are bad news around here. One almost hit Caleb when he was getting on the school bus - it didn't bother to stop for the bus and was going about 80 miles an hour - didn't even slow down..

And the really sad part is that Mr. R's wife died a couple of months ago .. and this is DIL's boss's parents. Not a good day at Red Hill...  I'm just in shock right now...
