Thought the Texas Wildfires were over? Think again... Idiot Son decided to burn some brush this afternoon... I think we've lost about 40 acres at last count... Had fire depts, tractors, neighbors, doziers and all kinds of fun since about 2 p.m.

And SMOKE (BIG trigger for my CH) - was in the house but it still got in when the wind changed direction.

Thought we had it out, but it flared back up a little while ago... I think everyone is about worn out...

Son came home for a break (and a beer) a while ago. I calmly asked him if he got the brush cleared out - I thought the boy was gonna cry... :)

Then to top it off, my new "puppy" (she's 9 months old and up to over 100 pounds now - a Pit-Mastiff) decided to follow the firetruck back to the fire station so I had to go get her (and she has a mind of her own) and haul her back up here -- that wouldn't be too bad except she got into a tiff with a skunk a few days ago and still smells kinda like the skunk won... So now I've got to clean out my truck and get the Frebreze out...

Other than that it was just a quiet Sunday at the farm... ya know - nothing ever happens in the country... :)
