On Day 3 of Pred taper have Q...

Has anyone had prednisone cause chest congestion?

I didn't have any before starting the taper but after I am a bit congested and coughing. Nothing severe but a bit annoying. At least it's keeping the beast at bay finally while we add a new med.

Will be greatful for any input! :)

Prednisone does lower your resistance to fight infection. So, if'n I was a betting man, I'd say the congestion could be a secondary effect of the prednisone.
