You have to scroll a bit but there it is in writing! Maybe now we will actually get some serious research done. Sorry about my excitement I just had to share. Luck and love.

Interesting read. It is the actor who plays him, Daniel Radcliffe, who gets CHs.

Quote:
One of our interviews was cancelled due to ill health. "I was in the middle of these weird things called 'cluster headaches'," he explains. "It's very rare evidently, but it's exceptionally painful. It makes a migraine look quite tame. At the time I thought I was being a wuss. I was taking 12 [strong painkillers] a day and going, 'Why do I still have a headache?'"

In the end, a trip to the doctor and a series of injections eased his pain.

Hopefully he finds the forums here as the knowledge and support he could get here will exceed that from most neurologists.

I keep going back to those scenes when the scar on his forehead would cause him pain, and the way he would grip it....

We are all much too familiar with the three fingered forehead grab.

I sent him a tweet.  Advised him to try oxygen. Will let you know if he responds.

I saw it online- couldnt believe it!

Hopefully he sheds some awareness to get us going on the therapies being used abroad.

I mentioned on Facebook when I first found this out, "Have we finally found our 'voice' through a famous spokesperson who will be an advocate for CH research and awareness?"
It would be great if he did make it a mission of his, just like Michael J Fox does for Parkinsons, Christopher Reeve did for stem cell research, and Westboro Baptists show the dangers of inbreeding!

Who would have thought it? but, excuse me for questioning as you know I always do- he had a drink problem for years, admitted to daily large amounts and that doesn't necessarily stack up with CH, but may do with chronic migraine (perhaps exacerbated by irregular sleep and meals)  You can drink with migraine, but almost no-one can drink with CH.

Last weekend at the ClusterBusters conference here in Las Vegas, there was a keynote speaker

...*Mr. Carter Lee, Author, Writer, Radio Host, Motivation Speaker and Clusterhead...

...whom recently interviewed Donald Trump and has interviewed other famous Americans.

Carter told us he would try and schedule an interview this Harry Potter guy to hopefully create better awareness to our disease.

I wish him good luck achieving this interview. ;)

I work in the film industry and have worked on a film he was acting in, If I had known he was a CH sufferer i would have had a chat with him about it.  :-/

But you can drink when not in an active cycle.  Having been at a number of OUCH conventions I would hazard a guess that clusterheads drink much more than the rest of the public do (just speaking from personal observation).

OMG!!!!!!!!! Felicia that is a FANTASTIC find!!!  And I just happen to be good friends with someone who works at the film studio - after him telling me all about his lunch with Gandolf, I will contact him pronto and see if he can arrange to have lunch with 'Harry'!  This could be just what we need!!!!

Pubgirl .. I'm with Bob P on this one. I'm chronic and I can drink (don't do it much but I can) without it triggering my CH.

And all the OUCH conventions .. well that really surprised some, but drinks were flowing at all I've attended.

But it goes back to -- we're all different and have different triggers. (let the barometer change and watch me grab my head..)

And hopefully with Harry.. we'll get some press on this.. Fingers crossed. Remember years ago - that football player.. we even sent him a t-shirt and a VERY nice letter.. but this is definitely worth a try... Everyone can relate to him if he would just speak out.  :-*
