Title: Hi to all
Post by golfcluster on Sep 10th, 2012 at 10:22am
Hi,
I have read posts here years ago. Now the clusters are getting worse and lasting longer and longer. I remember reading about testosterone therapy, side effects and some members were using gel, others shots and others pellets.
Does anyone have the info on this? Are folks still benefitting from testosterone therapt, and if yes, which form is the best way to go?
Thank you

While I can't help you with your question (I'm sure others who can will be along) I have a question of my own: with all of the available treatments which include preventative, intermediate and abortive meds and procedures, why would you want to start out with testosterone? It isn't a frontline med for CHs. Just curious. Welcome aboard! And blessings. lance

Lance is referring to meds in the PDF file, below. This is the latest evaluation of effectiveness.

Are you being seen by a doc who knows Clusters?

Yes, I  have seen a Cluster doc. I use oxygen and imitrex. I do not want to medicate with verapamil or anti-seizure meds. Water therapy didnt work. Kudzu worked for a few years then stopped. My testosterone levels are low, so I am thinking that by getting them back to normal that my clusters may stop.

The vitamin D3 therapy might be worth looking into as well.
