Big Tex is NO MORE. He burned up.. He's been the greeter at the Texas State Fair forever.

I can remember him from back when I was a little girl. He was awesome.. And now he's gone up in flames. to me this is a sad day in Texas - another tradition gone.

Oh they'll rebuild another one - bigger and better but it won't be Tex.

RIP Tex... some of us old folks will miss ya..

Step in an' answer the call, Barbie. Greet everyone next year going to the fair and when they rebuild, bigger and better Texas hospitality will be a huge Backwater Barb forever an' ever.

Barbara,i saw this on the news a week ago or so (thought of you and others who grew up with Tex with the memories) :'( :'( :'(.....Lenny

Lets just hope that they don't replace it with one of Sir Elton John wearing a cowboy hat with matching boots and of course (spurs included)
