For our younger clusterheads who might not be familiar:
It winds from Chicago to L.A., More than two thousand miles all the way. Get your kicks on route sixty-six. Now you go through Saint Louis, Joplin, Missouri, And Oklahoma City is mighty pretty. You see Amarillo, Gallup, New Mexico, Flagstaff, Arizona. Don't forget Winona, Kingman, Barstow, San Bernandino. |

The Stones played the song last night in Paris. Great job on their mid-sixties import album, got the bug, and still kickin' it around. No fun here. We only have an exit 69 at Big Beaver Road off I-75. |
Title: Re: Route 66 Post by Linda_Howell on Oct 26th, 2012 at 12:11pm Svenn, I'm only 4 hrs. away from St. Louis and we'd love to come see you on your way through. There's a historic village on the Mississippi river we can show you. It's where Louis and Clark set off to find a northern water route/passage to the Pacific ocean. I sure hope you make this trip. Route 66 is a great way to see America. It's called the "Mother road" Linda |
