Sorry I haven't posted about the FABULOUS reunion, but have been quite ill and not doing much for the past few weeks.

The reunion was MUCH more than we anticipated. Had a RECORD crowd (we had to borrow more tables and chairs to hold the crowd for Friday night).

Our show was totally awesome. The night before at dress rehersal EVERYTHING went wrong (good sign so I've heard), but Friday night it went so good we were all surprised. Dolly and Kenny were a smash hit..

At the last minute, I got put in three other skits (fast change of clothes for them) and they went over real well also. Went into one of them barefooted (didn't have time between acts to get my shoes on and ran out on stage barefooted, but...this is the south..)

And our finale was fantastic.. The balloons (the song was God Bless the USA) fell right on cue (we weren't sure it was going to work, but it did!) and everyone in the place was standing up singing along..

We didn't get to see the show, but it was filmed and when I saw the video (several times) I was even impressed that a bunch of 70 year olds would/could do what we did. Two years of planning, but we pulled it off in spades. We're all still grinning..

But now we're all having withdrawal.. What do we do NOW? Ok, we're planning our next class reunion. And we're helping the Class of 1963 get their reunion together.. they look UP to us ya know..  :)

Anyhow, ya'll can see that I had a great time and am still excited about it. It only comes around about every 50 years and was worth the wait...  :-*

At least you've got those 50 years to work out how to out-do yourselves next time round!

So this is what you kids are up to when the teacher leaves the room.  And Barbara, you seem like the ringleader.  Just wait until you grow up.

You might not believe this but we had SIX teachers there.. One was our OLD Drama teacher.. He gave us an A+ and laughed till he hurt.. We actually went to state in Drama our senior year..  :-*
