He came in the office today to switch out some O2 tanks while I was there today. Really nice guy, and he just lives a couple of miles from me. Looking forward to getting better acquainted with him.

He is just using the normal mask, and is having troubles with it. I think he is not getting enough oxygen and he is sucking the mask flat on his face trying to get enough air. I recommended the O2ptimask, but at 15 lpm he is still going to be sucking it flat. I recommended he get a higher flow regulator, but I have to be careful about that because I'm recommending he go against medical advice, which is a big no-no for our patients. Medical malpractice is so troubling, and I use the word advisedly. I know it would not be legally considered malpractice, but in actual practice in my humble (but correct) opinion it is.
