Our new century began of course on the 1st of the 1st of the 1st. Since then we've had the 2nd of the 2nd of the 2nd, 3/3/3/, 4/4/4 and so on. After next week it will be nearly 100 years until we see such a thing again (presuming the world doesn't end on the 21st with only three shopping days to Christmas).

It'll be 12/12/12 and that's just the way beer is packed.

Progressing into the teenage years would not be a safe bet for humanity, it could tie in with a sudden loss of all civil discipline.  By 16/17/18 we would know all there is to know.

Just as long as I don't have to drink three lots of 12 beers to celebrate the fact - I'm not 18 any more!

Plus not being anywhere like as warm as Cairns it isn't quite the same drinking cold ones.
