You posted after your little girl was born that in Finland, no one names the baby until after the Baptism.  You wouldn't tell anyone what you and your husband decided on a name, not even your mother.  Surely she's been baptised by now.  Can you let us know what her name is?    ;)

and maybe post a picture so we can all go Awwwww. :)

Poor thing is probably still up to her elbows in diapers!!! Waiting patiently Sanna.... ;)

Linda, you're right, our daughter has a name. I'm sorry it has taken me a while to reveal that. These days I seem to recall only to take care of her... ;D

Anyways, our little girl was christened, and her name stayed as a secret until the very moment I announced it. Her name is: Aada Eveliina Tuulikki. :)

Aada - the first name we both liked.
Eveliina - a name I've liked for years, suggested it to Esa and he liked it as well
Tuulikki - my third name and my mother's second name, we wanted our daughter to have a name which runs in the family

So there you have it. :) We figured the name out before Aada was born and then we still loved it and she "looked" like Aada, so in the end it was easy.

Our relatives and Aada's godparents had been wondering about the name, but none of them guessed it correctly. Interesting enough, all 3 names were on different quests' lists, so it they had joined forces, they might have put it together.

Aada is wonderful little girl. She is very happy baby most of the name, she only cries for a reason and is back to her happy, smiley self quite quickly.

Aada is 3,5 months old now. She has been growing nicely. She can turn from her back to her stomach, her first teeth is coming, she has a radiant smile, we've heard her first laughter (Dec 6th, Finland's Independence Day). :)

These days Aada's quick hands will grab anything within her reach. She clearly wants to move already, but hasn't figured out how that can be done yet and that is frustrating to her. Her favorite place to be is her mother's lap.

I love my daughter. :) It is wonderful to see how she figures things out daily.

Lumi  Oh to be so young and pretty again like Aada.

Nuppu  You're only 16, wrinkles already?

Lumi  Being so worldly like me takes its toll.  Aada still has that cute, innocent beauty, not the fleeting kind like mine was, but so much in common with my best years.  I snuck in to do some girl-talk with our new girlfriend.

Nuppu  You didn't offer her a cigarette I hope.

Lumi  I smiled and she smiled, but then she grabbed a handful of my hair and wouldn't let go!

Nuppu  Probably thinks you're a stuffed animal with batteries.

Lumi  There was that funny smell from her.  The girl's no Coco Chanel.

Nuppu  Sanna stays so busy with her.

Lumi  Oh good thing Sanna came, wasn't a time to dabble music or fashion sense.

Nuppu  Sanna keeps her occupied and freshly changed.

Lumi  So many changes, what a clothes hound.  I'm going to make my own line of clothing for Aada.  This is the hat I made her, and one for me.

Nuppu  Why is it square?

Lumi  It makes a fashion statement, society will take notice of my idea.

Nuppu  The idea for a square peg in a round hole...

Lumi  No silly.  The gift-wrapped bottle of tequila I bought myself for Christmas was round, but in a square box - like that idea.  Stylish as being gift-wrapped.
   
Nuppu  A bottle soon to be round and empty, measuring up to what that square hat on your head is covering.

Lumi  Actually no measuring at all, it stretches!
 
Nuppu  Expanding to accomodate vacant space?

Lumi  Exactly!  I'll continue to grow into it.

I didn't want to say yet, but I made a hat for you too, and bought a gift-wrapped bottle for you.

Nuppu  Would it be okay if I opened that now?

Aada sure has charmed us, her only cousin and both grandmothers. (And thanks to her, now we have a Christmas tree! We got it today and will decorate it within few days.)

Aada is one determined little lady. She wanted to turn, she turned. Now she wants to move, crawl, and I'm pretty sure that with her determination that will happen sooner rather than later.
