Title: End of the world
Post by Mike NZ on Dec 20th, 2012 at 9:09pm
Well after getting just over 15 hours into the end of the world on the 21st December there seems to be no sign of anything cataclysmic at all.

And since it's the start of the summer / Xmas / New Year holidays, time to enjoy a cold beer to celebrate.

There is something wrong with "start of summer/Christmas and New Year."  To us here..
they are 6 months apart.  Glad to hear you survived the end of the world.  Lol

Silly. The Mayans weren't in your time zone.

Oh no, I'll have to have another cold beer tomorrow...

Anyway, did the Mayans have time zones in their calendars?

I'll be at work at the appointed time, so should see it coming when it happens...

Hey Mike. World ends first for you lot but we get a two hour reprieve so we're going to alter all those footy scores and there's nothing you can do about it. So there, hah!

My biggest conern is that certain people around here (no names mentioned) will have a 10-12 hour window in which to drink all the real beer from down under, rather than their own sad excuse for a cooling libation.

My own Christmas cooking goes on regardless, of course. Chilled soups to start, a special cold chicken dish I've been two days marinating in fresh mango and passionfruit, heaps of salads then fruits straight off the tree with too much ice cream.

Now here's a thought - we could ask our American and European friends to send us a bit of ice to keep our beer kegs properly chilled and cool our swimming pools! Surely the Christmas spirit and the joy of being one big happy family.

Well even taking into account the different time zones, the world has survived, along with the All Blacks record in beating the Aussies.

I guess this means that a CH is now more painful than the end of the world!

Just kinda wonderin...

Out of all the the nutbars that thought there'd be "no tomorrow", how many of them are disappointed?

Maybe they are more disappointed that they were WRONG?

<food for thought>
