Svenn called this morning saying he's been hospitalized with a stroke. The call was short so I don't have any details and I haven't been able to speak with Bente.
Svenn sounded a little scared and apprehensive, but there was no slurred speech and he spoke coherently. Knowing Svenn, I suspect he called the EMTs as soon as he felt something wasn't right. I've sent an email to Anne Clark, the President of Clustercompagniet and one of Svenn's close friends to have her call Bente for some additional information and will pass it on when she gets back to me. Until then, send our good friend some vibes... He sounded like he needs them. Take care, V/R, Batch |

Quick Update,
I got a call through to Svenn. He's resting comfortably. They're pumping him with blood thinners and plenty of fluid. He indicated the only real symptom was his left arm was numb. He said he's scheduled for a complete round of tests with CT Scan, but that his doctors would not comment further until all the results were back some time tomorrow. Take care, V/R, Batch |

Update #2...
I spoke with Svenn over Skype this morning... The hospital gave him a 24 hour pass to go home and rest... He was scheduled to be readmitted later today for more tests... Nothing new to report and no diagnosis so to speak of... except that Svenn looks OK, sounds OK, but claims his arm is still numb. Doctors at the hospital told him to stop smoking... Hello... Most of you who know Svenn, know all too well that didn't work... So... our stubborn mad viking is doing his usual thing... surviving... and Bente has the situation well in hand... Accordingly, until we hear differently, I think we can call off the Marines for the time being... Take care, V/R, Batch |
