Title: Out of oxygen, maybe try this.
Post by Hoppy on May 29th, 2013 at 6:21pm
Hi All,

Should at any time your court without oxygen, you could try this.
At the onset of an attack inhale very deeply through your nose
for 15-20 minutes, this method has been known to abort an
attack in a emergency in some folk.
Cheers, Hoppy.

I've been stuck without O2 once or twice (I try to never let that happen) and I have hyperventilated to abort the attack. For me, though, it was a cleansing breath or two as you describe, and then breathing as rapidly and as deeply as I could. Given the feeling of panic of an unattended attack, it wasn't too hard to do this. And yes, it was better than doing nothing and letting the pain wash over me. Blessings. lance

Hi Lance,
That was great news.
It's always good to have some thing up your sleeve in case of
an emergency.

Cheers, Hoppy.

Sounds silly but try doing your hyper ventilation with your face stuck in the freezer or against the vent of your car air conditioner.....while drawing the cold air in through your nose. The cold seems to increase the pain killing.

Just another "emergency how the hell did I let myself be without 02" trick!" ;)
