Title: Oxygen question Post by CHsRtheDeviL on Jul 18th, 2013 at 5:02pm
So I got a oxygen tank today set up in my bedroom. Its set up at 15 LPM the only problem is I don't have a mask. Obviously I prolly need one but for now I just got a tube that you can breath through the nose. Can I just straight up breath it through the tube for now? Or will inhaling through the nose work fine to?

You can definitely breath straight from the tube with your mouth, just don't take in any outside air. I fold/pinch the tube to conserve while exhaling, the only catch is whether 15 lpm will keep up with your
breathing rate. If it will keep up, you'll get 100% pure oxygen and that will do the trick. I do this at work all the time, it's less obvious to those that won't understand. Good luck, Sean |
