Hi all, I'm now in my 3rd month, no relief on Verp. taking 3 x 80's thru day then 2 x 120"s before bed.  My local GP is unsupportive & busy, have appt at Kingston General Oct 28th with Neuro (not knowledgeable with CH). Also trying to have my GP to refer to Dr. Sitwell in Ottawa...over a week, GP still hasn't faxed it in.
I'm working on getting a new GP (although its tough)
This will be my third day of trying 6000 Vit D3 como with 3000 Salmon oil.  Last night hit every hour until 12:30am, then took Zomig 5mg nasal spray to relieve the hits for the rest of the night.  So I'm unsure if this is the norm trying the vit D3/oil.  Scared if tonight will be bad...

Hi all, Okay.. I'm going to post later today on the "123 Days PF message board in a few hours, letting you know my results of the 25(OH)D. 
I've already started Batches regimen, but here's the kicker tho. Where I need your advise.
I've been battling CH since June, with much push and work I was able to see Neuro (Sitwell) on Fri Sept 20th. To abort my CH's he prescribed me prednisone 100mg/day for 7 days. (I had never had this drug before). Yes, its kicked the hits, but I'm scared how to draper off of it.
Started Prednisone Script Sunday:
-Sun thru Tues @ 100mg/day(feel human again).
-Wed & Thur @ 50mg/day. 
-Thurs (yesterday) i originally took only 25mg in morning, but woke up at 10pm last night with 2/3kip,  obviously I still need the taper down... so at 10pm took another 25mgs.
-Also taking 3 x 80.5mg Verapamil daily.
***With your Pregnisone experiences, please advise me how the best way to taper down Pregnisone, with knowledge his script was written for a 7day fix @100mg/day.

I just want to say… Thank you to Batch and Clusterheads.com all the folks on FB;  Cluster Aware, Cluster Confrence…etc.

Hi Sue,

I am on a prednisone treatment now, started Wednesday at 24gm/day. No Ch's since the day i started but so far I feel that the cycle has not been broken. Just waiting to see what happens as they ween me off them. In the past prednisone for me works very well, about +80% of the time.

In the past for me Day 1 to Day 6 was 6 pills a day (10mgs each)
                         Day 7 to Day 8 was 5 pills
                         Day 9 to  Day 10 was 4 pills
                         Day 11 to Day 12 was 2 pills
                         Day 13 to 14 Day was 1 pill.

My current prescription is only 21 pills so its less time and mgs per day.
 
It varies per the amount of pills you have But! the very important thing is to ween your self off them, do not abruptly stop. This is what i have been told by the docs all my life. Hope this helps.

the neuro gave me the pills in 50mg strengths... so, thats were I'm coming from.
Today i will continue 50mg's (3 days on 50)
Sat, Sun,Mon, I guess I will try 25mgs/day.
