Title: started D3 regimen yesterday.... Post by scabtrapper on Sep 25th, 2013 at 11:00am
Got my 1st CH last week which woke me straight awake during my CPAP deep sleep. Thought it was the big one!
Two more days of CH with KIP 5 & 6 and then found this website. PCP had me do CT scan which was normal and my neuro is aware but haven't been able to get appointment yet. Can't get O2 prescribed from PCP or neuro yet. Quit immediately any alcohol, nictone (smokeless) and now caffeine. Last weekend I took some excedrin migraine and the CHs since have been worse..perhaps KIP 8 or 9 last night. Tennis ball trigger point therapy helps a little. Feeling shadows this morning since I woke up. Thanks for the info and support on here....at least its there in the middle of the night to read. Just hope I experience some of the pain free results that folks have had here on CH.com. Really can't imagine living with this beast. |

hey.
a few things: a. Cutting off alcohol is wise. Smoking - usually doesn't change a thing. Coffee is actually beneficial for most clusterheads. b. The excedrin probably had no effect (unless you used a lot of it, in which case maybe you suffered some rebound attacks). It's reasonable that you just go deeper into cycle and so your attacks are getting more severe. c. Try aborting with energy drinks. Remember to chug it - not drink. Also, try using cold/hot pads (most people find either cold OR heat to be helpful. d. If you use a CPAP you should defiantly get relief from O2. Keep this a top priority. e. I have CH for over 30 years now. It is possible to live with it. takes some practice though. Good luck! |

Scabtrapper,
Best advise I can give... you need to read all the Oxygen info to left of this page. And I would go ahead and order the Clusterheadache Oxygen mask. Its well worth the money, as you will be using it regularly. When you get Oxygen you will be ready to get relief. Also you can PM (private message) anyone on the board if you have questions. My experience has been that Clusterheads will do just about anything to help a fellow Suffererer. Pain Free wishes |

Thanks for all the advice and the red bull seems to have helped. Still getting 2 attacks per day about 12 hours apart. The CHs have been less since starting the D3 regimen and hopefully can get O2 soon.
