Title: Cluster headaches with tick's?
Post by MichaelB on Nov 8th, 2013 at 1:45pm
Hi all I get ticks now just random ones like smash a cup in to a table or trying to type I'll bash on the keyboard.  Then I have the headaches and the ticks become like shaking with the ticks of the arm, legs or head.  Anyone experience anything like that?

I've seen a few people mention that they get something called restless legs syndrome (START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE) which whilst it normally affects the legs, it can also affect other parts of the body.

This is something you need to discuss with your doctor to get a definitive diagnosis and the appropriate treatment. There are many other possible causes of your symptoms.

Magnesium might help.

Are you taking an ergot based med? They can cause that, and perhaps some other meds as well. Should talk to your doctor. blessings. lance

I had leg/arm/full body ticks during attacks when I was on Topamax. Seemed to quiet down about a month after I stopped taking it (and gabapentin).

I would definately see a doctor about this, it could be a lot of different things.
Are you having tics when not in a CH cycle ?
My first thought was if it is not the CH itself, it could be meds or epilepsy.
Having a son with severe epilepsy, I have seen so many different types of seizures you would not believe it. Short tics is one of them.
I am not saying your tics is epilepsy, but see a doctor is good advice anyway.

Take care, and CH free days to you.
