Title: Crazy Abort
Post by Headbanger on Dec 16th, 2013 at 11:38am
JUST THOUGHT I MIGHT SHARE THIS ONE. I HAVE NO ACCESS TO MY O3 AT WORK SO I KEEP AN ICE BAG AND ENERGY DRINKS HANDY IN CYCLE. TODAY I HAD A WHOPPER BREWING UP OUT OF THE BLUE PER USUAL. INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE ICE ON MY FOREHEAD ON THE CLUSTER SIDE, I PUT IT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF MY FOREHEAD. DONT YOU KNOW THE BEAST RAN WITHIN SECONDS!!!! I MEAN IT JUST STOPPED DEAD. I DONNO??? IM GOING TO KEEP DOING IT IS ALL I KNOW. NEVER EVEN THOUGHT TO DO THAT AS THE PAIN ON THE CLUSTER SIDE GETS SO INTENSE.  :D

Hey Banger,

Interesting observation...  Are you still on the accelerated vitamin D3 dosing schedule?

Take care and hang in there,

V/R, Batch

Good observation and by posting it here you might well help someone else who is away from their usual abortives.

Before O2 I have taken my shoes off outside while in the midst of a major hit and stood on the concrete when it was 50 degrees or colder. My hit either dissolved or ramped way down. It's got to be the body pulling the blood from the trigeminal nerve to warm the cold spot.
Bottom line..whatever works!

I commonly use an ice pack on the hit and a hot pack on the cluster-bump, then keep switching 'em around and from side to side to side.

Figure if I can't beat the bastage I can at least confuse it into leaving.

So do you think icing your feet would work when the weather isn't cooperating? This sounds very interesting. I'd love to hear others report in on it. Right now, I am still enjoying the pf aftermath of my second ONB. But I'm thinking ice would be a whole lot cheaper. blessings. lance

All of my cycles have been in the winter or early spring here in the US so I was lucky. This year's cycle was in August so if it was cool at night it did make them calm down a little for the few minutes my feet were cool but definitely did not abort them like when it was truly cold.

If it doesn't abort the hit...at least it feels so good when you were burning up!

I do know ice water in my mouth has aborted shadows or low kip hits. Definitely cheaper!
