Title: Clusters and fibromyalgia, are they connected?
Post by goldenlady on Feb 11th, 2014 at 6:14pm
I have had clusters for over 20 years, in the past 7 I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.  Since clusters involve the central nervous system, and Fibromyalgia is a nerve disorder, I am now wondering if there is any correlation.  With the pain being of a seizure type body response during my clusters, and the sharp, burning, throbbing pains going thru my body, when I am having my day to day pains, has anyone ever looked into possibly connecting the 2.  Also are there many others on this site that have both disorders?  I know mainly men get clusters, and women get fibromyalgia supposedly but I am ju.st trying to seek answers within my body.

Could find no medical literature which even raises the question of this relationship.

Although I haven't read about any proven connections between CH and fibromyalgia, I can definitely say that the magnesium I take for my vitamin D3 preventative treatment has made a big improvement in the frequent neuro-muscular pain I experience.  You might want to check out the last couple of posts on this thread which refer to vitamin D and chronic body pain.

This D3 regimen has been quite successful for most who are trying it, and you can find more info about it here if you're interested: START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE
