Went to my neuro a few weeks ago and while I was there I mentioned that I had a pain in my neck that was giving me fits.. It had become painful and had gone down in my arm and back..

Well, he did an MRI and called me back and informed me that I had a pinched nerve in my neck..

Now he's sent me to a pain management doc who is doing a procedure on me next Thursday (going up in my neck somehow and putting something in it to shrink the nerve and stop the pain). Anyhow they have to put me to sleep to do it and I'm not too crazy about that part.

So I'm a little down right now. I know it's not going to be that bad, but the putting me to sleep part ... well.. I just need a hug... :-*

[smiley=hug.gif] Good luck Barbara, although I'm sure you won't need it. If it eases your pain it will be worth it. Shame they can't shrink the trigeminal nerve for us too.

Many Hugs coming your way! As a survivor of 5 back surgeries and many injections, a couple because of bulging disks causing a pinched nerve I must say you will be glad you did this. I understand the pain and limitations it can cause. I will be praying for you to get the relief you need and a quick recovery.

Surgery went well.. Now I just have to wake up .. that sleeping stuff just keeps me knocked out for a while (days).. I'm up this morning and not hurting that much so I guess it's working.. Doc said it would take about three days to get the full effect, but it's a LOT better than it was yesterday morning before the surgery..

Anyhow, just checking in to let you know I'm still with ya... Sleepy but here.. Luv ya all.. :-*

Went back for the follow up Thursday and .. it only helped about 50% so we're going to have to do it again to see if we can make it 100%.

Doc is going on vacation so it'll be a couple of weeks before he can get to me, but .. fingers crossed THIS will be the last one. I'm just getting too old for this bull.. :-*
