Title: Observations from last night
Post by stevegeebe on Sep 25th, 2014 at 7:07am
It's a sphere. It would be perfect sphere except the upper part of it is pushed up against the inside of the skull along the crown and temple.

The sphere has a consistency similar to fog but it has no mass. It occupies space in the brain without compressing the matter within its boundary. It is a conductor field.  A field of pain.

Inside of this fog sphere is another sphere. It is the core.  It resides behind the eye socket an slightly bias toward the temple.  It is concentrated and angry. It maintains its shape upon arrival, first nested inside of the outer sphere.

Then it starts to pulsate unforgivably.  Pain waves radiate outward through the outer sphere followed by another pulse and another and another.  It is the lightning and the pain is the thunder.  The frequency of these pulses, to me, determine the scale of hit.

And as a bonus, the waves have embedded spikes that are not bound by the outer sphere. They can jump around randomly but mostly prefer the back of the skull, the neck and shoulder.  Others push across the face and into the sinuses.

When the rhythm of the pulses in the core subside, you know it is on its way out.  Relief is finally on its way.

Euphoria.

Some cat decades ago ....on this very board....suggested that we go thru this exquicit (sic)pain...just to experience the Euphoric end...it is an interesting theory...i just wish i could have been near him...so i could kick him in his balls...and hung out long enough to see his ecxtacy...as his pain subsided...and then as he finally caught his breath...kicked him again...he would be classed as episodic rather than chronic...cause i have bad knees.

You're right, dennisoc, I'm episodic rather than chronic.

Sorry to hear about your bad knees.

First, I don't know why I wrote the above description.  It's like telling birds what it's like to fly.  You all know what this thing feels like.

Barb, I started D3 and I appreciate the phone call this morning and your clarification assistance.  Hearing your voice brought back memories when we first met in New Orleans many years ago.  How long ago was that?

The attacks were occurring between 4:00pm to 4:00am at regular intervals and 5 to 6 times.  Because I was so tired I would sleep through the O2 abort window.  Frustration and self pity set in.  Now things are beginning to get under control allowing extended amounts of sleep.  O2 becoming of use again.

You know, when the shadows come on, you prepare for the battle.  You have done it before and you try to fight the fear.  Then they come on, hit by hit, getting stronger and longer each time.  If divided by two this level of pain is still ridiculous...a totally stupid amount of pain.

You fear, you hope and you wonder why...?

But then I think back.  Before O2, before mushrooms, before med combinations, before D3 and finally before DJ started this site.  God those times must have been like living in absolute hell for CH suffers.  And here we are helping each other through this craptastic illness with a crystal clear understanding of the pain.

Thanks all.  Did not need to tell you what these things feel like.  Rambling now..,

Barb, I will call you later.

Steve G

Darling, that's what we're here for - pity parties are "acceptable"... We've all been there.

You've got my number and know to call anytime you feel like it.. And it was great talking to you.  :-*

And that trip to NO had to have been about 10 years ago.. We did have a great time now didn't we...
