Ok, need to rant.......

maybe it's because I have been run-down physically and mentally, but I think I've always treated Halloween like any other day. Is it me or has this day gotten too much publicity and acknowledgement for being a "Holiday"? I'm all for the little ones trick or treating, but adults wishing each other Happy Halloween ?? debates going on in schools about whether to celebrate or not, sending candy to the troops ? let the kids celebrate at home, send the troops food regularly.......hope all enjoyed this BIG "Holiday" looking forward to a real holiday.....  BOOOO ! Oh, cheer up.. me, personally I always like Halloween. But I'm strange. I love to dress up and act like a kid.

My office always dressed for Halloween. One Halloween I had an audit and when he got there he was met at the front desk by a "nun" who blessed him and when he asked for me, he was brought to the "witch's office". He was so busy looking at the spiders on my fingers and the wart on my nose that I won that one hands down.  :)

Then there was the new stock broker in town who was told to come down to my office and meet the "clowns" down there. Sure nuff, when he walked in he was met by a couple of really cute "clowns".

But the point is.. we made people laugh and that was the purpose of the dress up .. and it was fun doing it.

This year I had a busted knee and felt like the devil, but the clown makeup made me laugh and that helped my attitude a lot so ...

Now it's getting into the "holiday" season and I've got turkey's and Santa's ready to put out.

Guess I'll celebrate anything.. Wishing you more PF days..(and don't forget to laugh) :-*

I like Halloween. I enjoy handing out treats to the kids and seeing how happy and excited they are.
What I do not like is shopping for Halloween items and having to wade through the Christmas stuff to get to it. And, I think trick or treating is for little kids, not teenagers.

We had 2 boys knock on the door at 10 pm last night. They were both about 6 foot 4. I handed them both a lollypop and shut the door quick.
