Title: Urgent Please read Very worried Post by johnchooleSA on Dec 11th, 2014 at 3:27am
Good day to you, I have been a C C H sufferer since I was 16 I'm now 33 years old and don't see any peace for the foreseeable future.
I'm terribly worried as I live in South Africa and fear for my future well being. I cannot find employment as my cycles are so unpredictable with no help or support from government and I fear for myself living on the street with my condition. My only living relative is my sister and she has been supporting me along with the help of my partner who has been suffering this with me for ten years now. I'm literally begging on my hands and knees for any help or guidance, actually any help you could extend to me. With my condition without any treatment or medication in the foreseeable future I don't know what will happen to me honestly. Living with the fear of uncertainty and pain is a day to day struggle and I don't know how long I can survive in this country without any assistance. I have begged and pleaded with regard to working from home with not one response. Please if any one can help I have been looking for any freelance work abroad but have had no success as they are all paid surveys and fake data entry work. I'm sorry this might seem so desperate but after seeing your site It's comforting to know that I'm not alone and I see a sparkle of hope please I don't know how long I can live like this without help from outside my country as no one believes me about my C C H in this country. Once again please I need help desperately, I would be so grateful to anyone who could help me and understands my plight. Kindest Regards John Hoole South Africa |

I can't answer a single one of your questions, John, but I'll be your ClusterBuddy if that will help.
Headaches are horrible, I don't care what anybody says, and we CHeads have gotta stick together. You're amongst friends now. Welcome home. |

The strength of this group is in advising about how to treat your Clusters.
Help us to help you by giving us a good history of your medical treatment. 1. Are you seeing a doctor regularly? Does he have any experience treating headache disorders? 2. What medications have you used and are now using? Give name, dose, and how long you use any individual med. Include meds you have used the past but are no now using as well as currently used meds. Make clear which ones you have used but are not now using and those presently being used. What access do you have to medical care? |

Hi John
I am so sorry that you also have to endure this devil. I just entered a cycle and have already been hospitalised for 4 days. It's getting better. I also have a problem with employment. Lost MANY jobs over the years. It seems that people think you fake a headache - I mean - common, it only a headache RIGHT? I found a neurologist in Pretoria who is SUPER with breaking the cycles. You will not get any help from any State hospital. Believe me - been there, done that. This Dr is the only one that REALLY understand CH and how to treat it. If he knows you are a CH - he immediately helps. You don't wait for app. Do you have any medical aid or can maybe afford +- R15 000 for a treatment to STOP the cycle. I also live in South Africa (Pretoria) and please feel free to shout if you need support. Kind regards Linda |
