Title: New here and thoughts on Hydration Post by protoculture on Dec 30th, 2014 at 9:52am
Hi I'm new to the forum and while not a sufferer of CH. I have had from time to time a headache that was so painful all I could do was try and distract myself. So I feel I kind of know what it must be like .... and I deeply feel for sufferers. SO I am here in attempts to add my mind power to the collective to help find solutions....
What triggered my last headache I think was lack of proper hydration. I had two coffees ( with no water - usually I drink water ), also smoked some green. I drove 4-5 hours with no water to offset the caffine.... I came home and while I did juice I also had Tea ( more caffine and diuretic ). I find the green does have a dehydrating effect + coffee ( which obviously does) + tea. Let me tell you this. since that headache a few days ago. I have never touched the green and maybe never will again. Headaches are no joke. I love it, I really do and its really been beneficial to my life in terms of dealing with emotional and spiritual issues. But perhaps its time to move on. Best wishes. |

No, you don't. Hydration has nothing to do with it. |

Maybe part of your suffering if a bad attitude towards others?
And if you know so much why are you suffering? You so sure its not about hydration? |

Being dehydrated has nothing to do with CH's, but its
known by drinking lots of water during the day and before going to bed when in a cycle helps in some folk. Hoppy |

I've had plenty of dehydration headaches and they are maybe 1/4 the pain of a ch. No comparison.
Water, water, water! |

Lack of water AKA dehydration has triggered attacks for me several times, especially in conjunction with excessive heat (110+F).
Take a look at the "water x 3" tab on the left side of your computer screen for an interesting article about using water as an abortive "treatment." -Gregg in Las Vegas |

I live in a tropical paradise where dehydration is a constant risk and it's never been a trigger for me, as such, but I know things will be much worse if I don't seriously keep up my fluid intake.
Heaps of fruit, leafy salads, steamed veges, sorbets, frappe and waterfalls. It's no cure but there's a lot to be said for water, water, water. |

And in a place like Cairns, with good company, nothing beats a cold one or three.

Too right, Mike, but there are International laws, treaties and protocols which specifically forbid using the words [beer] and [water] in the same sentence.
Except in America. |
